Lower and Upper Abdominal Makeover: Tummy Tuck Surgery in Bethesda, Maryland near Washington D.C.

When Dr. Roger J. Oldham began practicing plastic surgery, over 25 years ago, he specialized in general plastic surgery so that he would be able to help the most patients using the widest variety of surgical approaches.  With body contouring, for example, patients can seek liposuction (which can target an area of the body), modified abdominoplasty (mini tummy tuck, which can target the lower abdomen), and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) which removes excess fat and skin from the entire abdominal region—the chest down to the pubic area.

With abdominoplasty, patients can see an entire re-contouring of their torso region.  Through an incision along the pubic bone—which is easily hidden under clothing and bathing suits—Dr. Oldham carefully separates the skin from the fatty tissue. Using liposuction, the fat is removed then the abdominal muscle wall is sutured as to restore it to its strongest position.  During weight gain, abdominal muscles shift and weaken the abdomen.  Then, excess skin is removed and the naval is relocated to fit the new shape of the abdomen.  Results can be seen in these pictures before and after tummy tuck/abdominoplasty surgery with Dr. Oldham.

You can schedule your personal abdominoplasty consultation with Dr. Oldham today.  When you meet with Dr. Oldham, he will provide a complete explanation of the procedure (like the one provided above) and will discuss expectations of the surgery.
