Mini Tummy Tuck for lower abdominal skin and tissue excess: Bethesda Plastic Surgeon can help!

When Dr. Roger J. Oldham began practicing plastic surgery, more than 25 years ago, he set out to care for people in Bethesda and Washington D.C. by listening to their personal dissatisfactions and providing avenues for help.  Dr. Oldham is an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon, offering patients any number of procedural options including body contouring, a family of procedures aimed at helping you achieve the body you’ve worked hard for: abdominoplasty, modified abdominoplasty, and liposuction.  Dr. Oldham understands that genetic and lifestyle factors (like your natural body shape or your previous pregnancy) can be more powerful than the effort you put in at the gym or the dinner table.  With a modified abdominoplasty (mini tummy tuck surgery) with Dr. Roger J. Oldham, your body can reach its potential.

With a traditional abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), Dr. Oldham makes an incision along the lower abdomen, just above the pubic region. From there he is able to separate skin from muscle in order to access and remove excess fat that rests between.  The fat is removed from both the upper and lower abdominal regions, and the skin is then smoothed, removing all excess before closing the suture site.  With traditional abdominoplasty, the relocation of the naval is required.  But, with modified abdominoplasty (mini tummy tuck), the relocation of the naval is not performed, as Dr. Oldham does not remove any excess fatty tissue from above the belly button.  Instead, the same incision is made, but only the fat below the naval is removed, and the excess skin is smoothed and trimmed in a similar manner.  To see the difference, look at these images of patients before and after traditional tummy tuck and these before and after mini tummy tuck surgery with Dr. Oldham.

Dr. Oldham’s conveniently-located plastic surgery office is in Bethesda, near Montgomery Mall and the intersection of Old Georgetown Rd. and Democracy Blvd.  Contact Dr. Oldham's office if you’re interested in mini tummy tuck surgery, or any body contouring procedure. Our patient counselor, Janet, is pleased to answer any questions you might have, including the price of mini tummy tuck surgery and related facility fees.
