He has lectured on various plastic surgery topics before community groups, physician groups, and professional associations, and was a featured guest speaker at the State Women’s Bar Association of Maryland in 2003.
Dr. Roger J. Oldham is a board certified plastic surgeon in the Washington, DC, area who has been in private practice since 1977. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at Georgetown University’s Department of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Oldham earned his medical degree from Indiana University. He then completed his internship and the first half of his general surgery residency at George Washington University, before entering the U.S. Navy. Dr. Oldham served in Vietnam from 1971-1972, where he was awarded the Bronze Star, and then at the Long Beach Naval Hospital upon his return to the United States. Following military service, Dr. Oldham completed the second half of his general surgery residency at George Washington and then elected to complete a second residency focused specifically on plastic surgery at the University of Illinois.
Dr. Oldham maintains active membership in several widely regarded medical associations. His affiliations include the:

He is also a past president of the National Capital Society of Plastic Surgeons and the past chief of the plastic surgery division at Holy Cross Hospital and Shady Grove Hospital.

Most minor surgery is performed at our certified ambulatory surgery center located in our office suite. Our surgery center is certified by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (A.A.A.H.C.). Major procedures are performed in one of our affiliated hospitals or surgery centers.
